Why do I read Gnostic Tarot?
Tarot became popularized after the creation of the most recognizable Tarot deck, known as the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. This is a deck created by the mind of Arthur Edward Waite, and illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith, which I use extensively in my Tarot Sessions.
What is often missed by modern Tarot readers is that Arthur Edward Waite expressed the curious nature of Tarot as it related to the history of Albigensian and Cathar-based Gnosticism that flourished during the Middle Ages. Although most Tarot Readers do not have an understanding of Gnosticism, I have studied Gnosticism for 22 years. This allows me to understand Tarot through a historical, medieval, and archetypal lens.
